WW1 Military Relics Lamp.

Here is this poignant lamp made from WW1 relics .
The helmet, trenching tool, barbed wire, buckle and Queens West Surrey Regt cap badge we're recovered from the area of The Somme. This Regt saw service on the Western Front for the entire 4 years, suffering large casualties and were present at many battles, among them Ypres, Mons, Passchendaele and The Somme.
The neck of the lamp has Mills fragments around it and the original cork which sat inside the water bottle for over a 100 years sits on its shoulder.
The water bottle itself has a bullet entry and exit hole, as shown.
Various 303 rounds and the odd Mauser shell scatter the base and 4 serve as feet to the base of the lamp.
When lit the light that emanates from the damaged and aged helmet creates a wonderful atmospheric glow and patterns.

A great addition to any home, office or a gift for a WW1 enthusiast.
